PURPOSE: Serve as Readiness, Plans and Mortuary Specialist with responsibility for the everyday operations of the Installation's Mortuary Affairs Program, Installation War Readiness Materials (WRM)/Meals Ready to Eat (MRE), Readiness and Plans, Unit Deployment Program, Emergency Management Program, Antiterrorism Program, Records Management and Self-Inspection Program.
Duties
Planning and organizing the activities of the Force Support Squadron (FSS) with direct oversight of readiness, plans, and deployment functions.
Serves as Installation Primary Mortuary Officer. Serves as primary Installation Mortuary Officer to ensure all mortuary services are properly performed in accordance with the Space Launch Delta 45 OPLAN and DAFI 34-60.
Serves as the unit Emergency Management POC to ensure all checklist items listed in the Wing's Installation's Emergency Management Plan are accomplished as necessary.

- This is a Mission Essential position performing a Mission Critical Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions. IAW, DoDI 3020-42, Defense Continuity Programs.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions and Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include planning and organizing readiness, plans, and deployment functions; supporting emergency operations, deployment, and search and recovery operations; and identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex issues.

EDUCATION: Successfully completed a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of manpower, personnel, education, family & readiness, instructional systems, and/or services operations, directives, programs, and procedures.
2. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of financial, budget, and resource management practices and principles.
4. Skill in gathering, assembling, and analyzing data/facts, developing conclusions, identifying trends, developing alternatives/solutions, and making recommendations to resolve problems.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
6. Ability to lead, manage, supervise, and adapt in a variety of changing situations in an atmosphere of military protocol and decorum.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
