The minimum salary for grade GS-7 is $51,115, the maximum salary is $66,450. The minimum salary for grade GS-9 is $62,522, the maximum salary is $81,278.
Duties
Performs a variety of budgetary and administrative functions in implementing the organizations travel program, policies, and procedures.
Assists in analyzing, planning, and evaluating directorate functions to determine validity, propriety, accuracy, and adequacy of work processes.
Assists in the reviews and analyzes a variety of reports received from internal and external sources, including reports produced by automated systems.
Assists in the performance of quality control examinations of operations, policies, procedures, and internal controls including the analysis of data and information to prevent and detect deficiencies in the operation of functional area systems.
Receives special projects pertaining to improperly processed transactions resulting from newly legislated and implemented entitlements.
For vacancies filled at less than the full performance level of the position, duties will be developmental in nature.
Requirements

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade within the federal service that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position is required.
Specialized experience at the GS-07 level is defined as: applying financial laws, principles, systems, policies, methods, and practices to provide routine technical guidance to managers, employees and/or customers; gathering data from financial systems; researching financial policies and laws to resolve common financial issues.
Specialized experience at the GS-09 level is defined as: researching and interpreting financial regulations, policies, and laws to provide substantive recommendations and advice to managers; analyzing and evaluating reports and data from financial systems to identify issues and discrepancies; researching and interpreting financial policies and laws to resolve financial issues.
GS-07 Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-05 or higher grade in Federal Service.
GS-09 Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-07 or higher grade in Federal Service.

GS-07 Substitution of Education for Experience: One full year of graduate level education or Superior Academic Achievement (http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/policy/ApplicationOfStds-04.asp) may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
