You will serve as an Administrative Officer in the Space Science Division of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.

Duties

You will be responsible for the preparation and review of the division's budget and preparation of financial reports. You will assist with recruitment and management of administrative staff You will liaison with various support divisions. You will advise divisions and managers on issues such as recruitments, performance ratings, personnel regulations, retirements, and etc. You will be responsible for researching data concerning personnel and compiling reports for submission to the Division Superintendent. You will interpret and apply policies and procedures pertaining to budgeting and accounting for funds, and personnel administration

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-01/04) or pay band (NO-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience shows the ability to 1) analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) plan and organize work; and 3) communicate effectively orally and in writing. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successfully completed a four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.

OR

A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
