You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST of HDQTRS NDW.
Duties
You will prepare annual budget execution plans to show projected monthly and reimbursable expenditures.
You will develop funding guidance for subordinate activities and participates with senior management in fiscal planning.
You will prepare statistical reports, noting variances and assisting in determining cause and effect.
You will perform a wide variety of analytical duties connected with the formulation, justification, presentation, execution, and review of the Regional Engineer Program/Facility Support Budget.
You will direct work, conduct interviews, and hire employees.

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) utilizing DON financial budget execution systems; analyzing financial plans and monitor execution variance from submitted plans for varied appropriations; 2) managing operational targets utilizing the tracking and reallocation of quarterly authority for assigned programs; 3) providing program analysis and reconciliation of various financial issues; and 4) reviewing fiscal integrity of financial documentation and systems, accuracy of reports and checks compliance with accepted accounting principles and regulations.
