You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT (N41) of COMAFLOATRAGRUPAC.
Duties
You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of financial management relating to an organization’s programs and administrative operations
You will provide financial program guidance in accordance with policies and procedures of the organization.
You will provide briefings and presentations on financial programs during staffing meetings, conferences, or committee meetings.
You will collect, validate, and audit budget formulation work involving preparation of detailed analysis of annual budget estimates.
You will review and present background data, information, and documentation to support required program budgets for reference.
You will research, compile, and summarize data involving obligations, expenses, narrative information, and quantitative budgetary data for use in preparing
budget estimates.
You will project costs of line items with the past records to determine trends in spending and to forecast annual funding needs.
You will analyze financial information to resolve discrepancies in the system reporting process
You will analyze financial and budgetary relationships to develop recommendations for financial or budgetary actions.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level one certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
For the GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing budgetary data to determine cost effective use of funds in order to provide recommendations supporting financial or budgetary programs.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
or
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
