You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst at SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.

Duties

You will perform and advise on phases or systems of budget administration. You will advise on the formulation of budgets and estimates to support plans, programs and activities including presenting and defending budget estimates to authorities. You will develop, determine and interpret budgetary policies and practices. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of the organization's programs and administrative operations. You will plan work and set priorities for subordinate employees to assure effective accomplishment of tasks. You will provide technical and administrative oversight, advice and instruction to subordinate employees. You will identify and arrange for employee developmental and training requirements.

• This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing financial transactions or reports from an accounting program (i.g., SABRS) by identifying critical problems and providing solutions for a financial management program.
