About the Position: This position is in the Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) in Redstone Arsenal, AL. The incumbent will serve as the subject matter expert for the Army Air and Missile Defense Integration Division.

Duties
Communicates Army roles, missions and initiatives to Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC).
Serves as a Subject Matter Expert and Planner for the Army Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Integration Division, supporting the Commanding General (CG) in SMDC.
Develops a holistic AMD strategy to examine emerging concepts within the Army Missile Defense mission areas.
Formulates correspondence recommending new or amended Army-wide policy, guidance, and procedures pertaining to Army concept development activities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing Air and Missile Defense systems and operations to include their technical and military performance characteristics, functions and operational uses; AND Making sound proposals as it pertains to decisions that significantly impact developing air and missile defense policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
