Duties
The selectee will serve as a Administrative Officer in the Office of Strategy, Planning & Innovation,. Typical work assignments include:
Serving as a key liaison to organizational leadership with respect to ensuring adherence to administrative policies, procedures, and responsibilities related to supporting organizational employees and managers. Administrating activities include, but are not limited to employee time and attendance; property management; employee and manager training; purchase cards; and other administrative responsibilities.
Executing purchases against organizational budget purchase card to procure routine financial transactions such as office supplies; employee external training; or other approved resources for the use and consumption of employees within the organization.
Serving as the point of contact in the office for overseeing the monitoring and completion of tasks and organizational initiatives that are requested by the leadership. Keeping in touch and working in tandem with the staff members assigned to the project, making sure everything is finished within the predetermined time frames.
Examining the recurring list of both expendable and non-expendable assets; reporting the loss of property that is accountable and requesting its replacement. oversees the upkeep and repair of the office's equipment and makes sure that the property is properly identified in TOPS.
Qualifications
You qualify for the GS-12 level (starting salary $99,200.00) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level performing duties such as: Developing and maintaining administrative policies and internal operational procedures for divisions; Organizing administrative functions and activities; Maintaining office files and records (e.g. personnel, financial, confidential memoranda, etc.), providing guidance on personnel actions and issues and preparing non-routine letters and/or reports.

Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current competitive service employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. NOTE: All current or former Federal employees must provide a copy of their SF-50, "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF-50 must include your position, title, series, grade, step, tenure (1 or 2), and type of service (Competitive or Excepted). You may need to submit more than one SF-50 to comply.

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
