About the Position: Serves as the Human Resources Specialist (Military/Information Systems) for the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) system utilizing Human Resources (HR) and Information Management skills.
This position will be filled as a TERM NTE 13 Months
Duties
As a Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems/Military), you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
Execute functional operations of an integrated personnel and pay or similar system.
Prepare integrated personnel and pay systems data reports as directed.
Conduct comprehensive reviews of work processes to determine appropriate manpower for the organization.
Develop information/decision papers that provide guidance to other stakeholders in the organization.
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
- Temporary Duty (TDY), may be required up to 10% of the time.
- May be required to complete a one year trial/probationary period, if not previously completed.

Specialized Experience Statement To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Work which includes (1) Experience in Military Human Resources; (2) Experience to develop, implement policies, regulations, programs of various military pay, personnel, and information systems; (3) Experience in conducting activities and overseeing training and customer management support.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position you may qualify if your education meets the definition below:
PhD or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. (
