You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the Undersea Defensive Warfare Systems Program Office of PEO UNDERSEA WARFARE SYSTEMS.
Duties
You will assist in resolving problems or issues impacting business and financial aspects of project/program development, and financial execution for field activity and contractor industrial facility sites, commands or organizations.
You will analyze and develop budgetary requirements, and of the financial process for planning/programming/budgeting and execution of organizational resources.
You will monitor funding status against Navy benchmarks,
You will interpret financial management regulations to give guidance to decision makers and formulation of financial strategies.
You will evaluate budget requests to ensure compliance with policies.
You will review execution documents/reports using available financial management systems.
You will review and recommend approval of input for budget exhibits and budget justifications for submittal to the Navy Comptroller.
You will establish work assignments to be accomplished by the employees.
You will ensure the timely performance of satisfactory work efforts.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing financial management activities (e.g., policy review, development and implementation, financial planning and execution, budget analysis, development and execution, financial data analysis, audits, strategic planning, funding requirements, or financial reporting) for an organization to ensure compliance with financial directives, principles, policies, or procedures.
