You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (F-35 Lightning Support Team (LST) Director / Fleet Support Team (FST) Lead) in the FST Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will be responsible for defining and coordinating requirements for contractor's support services.
You will be responsible for day-to-day leadership, management and oversight of a team of engineers, technicians, and related technical/logistics support personnel.
You will be establishing and adjusting maintenance tasks/intervals, analyzes systems/equipment and data to determine fleet support improvement opportunities, projects repair requirements and develop maintenance specifications.
You will be the liaison with other aviation technical and industrial communities for in-service problems.
You will ensure safe and prudent operations through assessment of problems requiring aircraft grounding and restriction operations.
You will developing a systematic plan for accomplishing modifications of assigned systems/equipment.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading, managing, and overseeing complex projects and activities, including the technical, performance, and schedule considerations associated with those projects and activities; 2) Serving as a liaison and representative in negotiations with other commands and offices of the United States Navy, Air Force, DoD, other governmental agencies and private organizations on matters pertaining to assigned programs; 3) Generating and coordinating appropriate programmatic documentation and relevant information to support program reviews to include reviews such as readiness or depot level production; 4) Demonstrated expertise concerning aircraft maintenance issues and history of recommendations provided being acted upon; 5) Assuring that all planning is fully integrated with and aligned to the overarching NAE goals and initiatives as well as those of other participating services and agencies; 6) Advising higher level Headquarters, PEO and PMA officials of production program status, potential risk areas, and of problems that require resolution.
