You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST FST DEPT FST LOGISTICS DIV of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will provide technical support feedback, and review of supportability analysis for the integration of the propulsion system into the air system. You will provide input for budget requirements as needed. You will serve as a liaison with other aviation technical and industrial communities for in-service problems and solutions. You will lead the team to assess progress and investigate reports or suspected problems in attaining the program ILS objectives.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience: Plan, program, and budget regulations, guidelines and processes, and thorough information of military facilities planning, acquisition, and management processes to prepare long-range and short-range planning guidance in compliance with broad agency policies and objectives. Ability to negotiate with high level officials to accept and implement study recommendations, in order to gain acceptance for proposals that involve redirection of program or agency resources or changes in established work processes and operations in order to resolve conflicts between functional organizations, elements and/or commands. Understand DOD budget policies and regulations pertaining to programming and budget formulation, knowledge of the NAVAIR budget process and knowledge of the budget policies for a NAVAIR industrial command. Understand of the theories and principles of Logistics Management and Integrated Logistics Systems (ILS) planning and program execution, and mastery of advanced ILS planning principles and practices.
