You will serve as the Deputy Acquisition Lead in the office of the Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Tactical Aircraft Programs (PEO(T)) of PEO FOR TACT A/C.
Duties
You will assist in establishing and implementing acquisition strategies, plans, and policies.
You will monitor operating programs/projects to measure progress towards effectively and economically reaching objectives.
You will review correspondence and reports concerning issues related to the assigned acquisition programs.
You will represent PEO(T) Acquisition Lead at meetings and discussions with other SYSCOMS, OPNAV, and SECNAV representatives on subjects related to assigned programs

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience: 1) Planning and conducting integrated analytical studies that identify methods to improve effectiveness and efficiency of work methods, procedures, organizations, manpower use, work distribution, delegation of authority, management controls, information and documentation systems and similar functions as they relate to the acquisition program; 2) Providing technical leadership and guidance to multi-disciplined personnel from various levels of the organization to resolve issues associated with business processes/procedures; 3) Developing innovative acquisition strategies and plans; and 4) Serving as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the acquisition program needs are addressed and goals are met.
