Duties

You will assist in information technology procurement request Review/Approval Systems (ITPRAS) request and collection of associated documentation for justification of procurements. You will assist in National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) waiver requests You will assist in seat management for the marine corps enterprise network customer support services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training, in response to customer requirements. You will maintain awareness of current trends in information technology by contacting commercial and military communities to retain currency in the field of IT. You will provide technical support for our MDMC customers. You will diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer reported incidents and supports a wide range of equipment and applications running on a variety of platforms. You will install, upgrade, configure, and test off-the-shelf, locally developed and other agency developed computer software.

Requirements

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Attention to Detail: Can comprehend and understand system security procedures and policies that will be implemented on multiple platforms and environments. Experience with all computer hardware to include personal computers, printers, modems, scanners, network servers and network hardware. Customer Service: Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Analyzing user requirements to determine if systems meet business needs. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Interpreting and evaluating performance data. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Education


In lieu of specialized experience, applicants can qualify for this position based on education. To qualify through education, applicant must possess:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related

Degree must be in the following areas of major study -

computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field.
