This position is located in the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation's (PBGC), Office of Management and Administration (OMA), Budget Department (BD).
Duties
The candidate selected for this position will serve as Deputy to the Director of Budget and will be responsible for the following duties:
Requirements

- Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process
- 1-year supervisory probationary period required unless met during prior Federal service

IN ADDITION TO THE SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE BELOW, THE FOLLOWING MANDATORY SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR IS REQUIRED: experience preparing and reviewing SF-132, Apportionment Request.

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must also meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the private sector leading the preparation, review and analysis, and recommended disposition of budget formulation and budget execution related deliverables. Experience must include all of the following: balancing the OMB MAX Account, overseeing the compilation and consolidation of budget data submitted by junior budget analysts; preparing apportionment and reapportionment requests to Office of Management and Budget (OMB); ascertaining that adequate accounting policies, procedures, and records are maintained to ensure the accurate and timely recording of obligations and outlays; and providing clarifying language in various directives and operating procedures. NOTE: Your resume must clearly demonstrate this experience.
Candidates demonstrating strong written and oral communication skills are highly desired.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: In order to be eligible for this position, all current Federal employees must provide proof of meeting the time-in-grade requirement (i.e., at least 52 weeks of experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service). This information must be in both your resume and on an SF-50. Those who do not provide proof of having met the time-in-grade requirement will be deemed ineligible for this position.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
