Duties
You will serve as a technical assistant on the source and content of all forms of information (formal publications, databases, audiovisual materials, unpublished information, and intelligence sources) pertaining to arms, ammunition and explosives.
You will assist in the overall effort required to research, develop, test, evaluation, issue, receive, account, transport, order, and dispose of all Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (A A and E).
You will provide for the operation and actual conduct of operations pertaining to AA and E demilitarization and disposal technology and procedures.
You will perform analysis of the Department of the Navy Arms, Ammunition and Explosives program to assist in identifying the current and projected requirements.
You will perform periodic spot checks of the OIS database, magazines, and issued security ammo to ensure procedures are being followed.
Requirements

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-01 (GS-04 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector gathering data; conducting research; administering and tracking program requirements. (Note - Experience must be substantiated in your resume). General experience shows the ability to 1) Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) Plan and organize work and; 3) Communicate effectively orally and in writing.

- Have successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. -OR-
- Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
