About the Position: Senior Decision Science Analyst within MEDCOM's Program Analysis and Evaluation Directorate. This position is located at Fort Sam Houston, TX.
Duties
Serve as senior consultant and subject matter expert on Military Health Systems and MEDCOM policies, Military Treatment Facility operations and health data analysis.
Oversee healthcare analysis in support of senior level working groups involved in a variety of work associated with Army Medical Department.
Use specialized analytical, statistical, or visualization tools and software to analyze and display corporate performance data
Supervise teams and individuals supporting major service lines, programs, or lines of effort.
Requirements

Individual Occupational Requirements:
Progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field. This work may have been performed in an operating health care facility or a higher organizational echelon with advisory or directional authority over such facilities. Work must have involved a close working relationship with facility managers and analysis and/or coordination of administrative, clinical, or other service activities, and provided knowledge of the following:
Missions, organizations, programs, and requirements of health care delivery systems;
Regulations and standards of various regulatory and credentialing groups; and
Government-wide, agency, and facility systems and requirements in various administrative areas such as budget, personnel, and procurement.
OR
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes performing statistical studies utilizing health data systems; analyzing healthcare data; and advising leadership on strategic policy implications generated from statistical studies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
