Duties

Ensuring receipt of program and budget guidance from external authorities, assisting with the preparation of DLA enterprise budget guidance, and coordinating budget requirements across the enterprise Presenting the enterprise's budget guidance to subordinate organizations Monitoring, analyzing, and articulating the financial performance relative to the available funding authority Summarizing and analyzing the financial data from the proprietary and budgetary accounts to satisfy internal management needs and external mandatory and legislative requirements Analyzing the top-down budget guidance presented to subordinate organizations Coordinating the development of budgets by the appropriate Headquarters organizations Ensuring the consolidated budget supports DLA’s strategic plan and overall vision

Qualifications

To qualify for a Financial Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Coordinating technical and complex administrative and financial management studies, analysis, and research to develop suggested improvements. Utilizing accounting and fund control systems to analyze and evaluate the financial posture of the organization or program. Performing studies and analyses of the financial execution of an organization or program Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
