You will serve as a AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT DISPATCHER in the Southwest Region Fleet Transportation, G4 Logistics of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Duties

You will monitor transportation requests for transport of personnel (TOP), transport of things (TOT), self-drive vehicles (U-drive) and other miscellaneous transportation requirement received by several modes of communication. You will assist with the scheduling of motor vehicle operators (MVO), vehicles, and other equipment. You will maintain a daily dispatch record or a trip by trip record of vehicles assigned to SWRFT operators and for vehicles operated by customers. You will communicate with the maintenance section regarding vehicles coming out of the maintenance cycle and being returned to service. You will ensure all vehicles being dispatched are inspected before and after return to ensure interior and exterior damage is properly identified. You will be required to contact and coordinate roadside assistance and/or vehicle recovery (wrecker) service. You will be required to perform, other administrative type duties and tasks to support the fleet service requirements.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the(GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector dispatching vehicles, issuing trip tickets, managing preventive maintenance schedules, and updating dispatch and repair data in transportation computer systems.
