You will serve as an Automotive Equipment Dispatcher in the Southwest Region Fleet Transportation of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Duties

You will monitor transportation request for transport of personnel (TOP), transport of things (TOP), self-drive vehicles (U-Drive) and other miscellaneous transportation requirements. You will assist with the scheduling of MVO's, vehicles, and other equipment. You will communicate and coordinate closely with maintenance section to schedule vehicles for preventive maintenance (PM) services. You will communicate with maintenance section regarding vehicles coming out of the maintenance cycle and being return to service. You will be required to monitor phones, email traffic, and other methods of communication to ensure effective communication with customers, motor vehicle operators, and other region dispatchers and other personnel as required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1.) Coordinating transportation activities; 2.) Dispatching personnel and equipment to meet scheduled and unscheduled vehicle requirements; 3.) Monitoring phones and email traffic to ensure effective communication with customers; AND 4.) Communicating and coordinating closely with maintenance to schedule vehicles preventive maintenance.
