You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the DMSMS/OBSOLESCENCE MANAGEMENT BRANCH, AIR SYSTEMS GROUP, SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
You will develop and maintain DMSMS Management Plans and participate in DoD and Navy level Working Groups related to DMSMS.
You will develop and implement internal processes, policies and procedures that support the Program requirements for obsolescence issues.
You will proactively manage BOMs through obsolescence tools and perform research analyses to lessen DMSMS impact on aircraft readiness.
You will open/track DMSMS cases and research mitigation strategies; Life of Need Buys, Alternates, Redesign, etc.
You will perform analysis of avionics systems down to the lowest level of repair to determine the supportability of the system until its end of life.
You will analyze suppliers who may be at risk or are in the process of no longer producing required material to support the weapons system.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing and/or managing Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)/obsolescence mitigation processes; 2) Utilizing a wide range of Logistics technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; 3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command.
