You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Combat System Division (Code C285), Engineering Department (Code 200) of SOUTHEAST REG MAINTENANCE CTR SERMC.
Duties
You will develop and maintain current Branch policy and regulatory guidance for accomplishing mission essential responsibilities.
You will serve as the Radar/EW/Sonar Branch Head supervising twelve (12) civilians, six (6) military, and one (1) contractor.
You will present issues or reports to chain of command regarding (budget, personnel, equipment) and a variety of repair and technical issues.
You will coordinate with FFC, TYCOMs, Naval Shipyards and other RMC's to ensure plans are consistent with other maintenance activities and meet customer needs.
You will participate in long-range strategic plan development for SERMC.
You will develop branch training requirements ensuring required future skill sets are developed.
You will serve as the SERMC technical authority for all Radar/EW/Sonar issues. Areas of expertise include, but are not limited to the following: Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics Engineering in Radar, Electronic Warfare, and Sonar Systems.
You will the develop the branch business plans to include workload forecasting, staffing plans, training, CPI plans, phased replacement plans, and measurement plans.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Experience researching special designs, performing equipment modifications (ORDALTS, Selected SHIPALTS, etc); Experience providing recommendations for corrective actions; Experience managing and ensuring proper documentation of Radar/EW/Sonar branch work through the following documentation methods: DFS, DSR, TAAS-info, technical reports, proposals and white papers, and other documentation methods, as needed; Experience providing management of Radar/EW/Sonar branch personnel, including assigning work, approving leave, establishing training, and evaluating performance; Experience providing emergent technical assistance to shipboard personnel on difficult and complex casualties.
