You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ELETRONICS TECHNICIAN in the ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT (200), COMBAT SYSTEMS DIVISION (200CS), NETWORKS BRANCH (280A3), C2I SYSTEMS BRANCH (Code 281) of SOUTHEAST REG MAINTENANCE CTR SERMC.
Duties
You will be responsible for all phases of Branch Operations including accountability for the proper and efficient use of personnel, funding and equipment of assigned resources.
You will plan, oversee and direct Branch personnel in the timely achievement of Branch goals.
You will train new technicians and instruct employees in the selection of problem solving methods and practices.
You will provide technical advice for the Combat Systems Division personnel and complete final reviews for all employees.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting priorities and preparing schedules.
You will evaluates performance of subordinates and provide advice, counsel or instruction to individual employees on both work and administrative matters.
You will collaborate with heads of other units to negotiate, decide on and/or coordinate work-related changes affecting other units.
You will be the primary Point of Contact for technical expertise in C2I Systems and Combat Computers and Displays.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
To qualify for a GS-13, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience managing and operating C4I combat systems to effectively plan, oversee and direct branch operations.
Experience serving as a technical authority on shipboard system maintenance, design and repair.
Experience performing supervisory duties such as adjusting employee schedules, changing specific task assignments and readjusting task priorities.
Experience assisting developing policies, procedures and long term strategic goals.
Experience presenting findings and recommendations in formal engineering reports.
