About the Position:- Serve as the Mobilization and Deployment Specialist for the Installation under the Army Community Services (ACS) Division Chief at a large or medium garrison. Simultaneously serve as the ACS deployment or mobilization and stability and support plans and operations officer.
Duties
Prepare and maintain the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Standard Operating Procedure for Army Community Services alert notification procedures (ANP) and On-Call Representative (OCR).
Serve as the Unit Services Strategy Program Coordinator.
Participate in reserve component unit family support activities upon invitation or during scheduled assistance visits.
Review and revise Readiness Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) applicable to the Army Community Services deployment support requirements.
Initiate and maintain authorized Army Community Services (ACS) support services to reserve component commanders, Soldiers and family members.
Establish and maintain the installation Family Assistance Center (FAC) Plan and serves as FAC Director when it is activated.
Provide the updates for the Installation Mobilization, Operations, Planning, and Execution System (IMOPES), Volume I-III for consolidation and publication.
Coordinate Standard Operating Procedure revisions within Army Community Services and provides updates when required.
Represent Army Community Services (ACS) in installation mobilization planning, in-progress review, and after-action meetings.
Report to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) upon alert of a mobilization, deployment or emergency under both exercise and actual conditions
Consult and brief commanders, installation leadership, and the community at large to keep them abreast of Soldier and family issues.

- This position requires a Secret clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) reviewing and analyzing information relating to mobilization matters; 2) monitoring programs pertaining to mobilization readiness; and 3) developing various installation regulations and plans in support of mobilization and de-mobilization operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as:

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
