You will serve as a Facility Operations Specialist in the Infrastructure Business Operations Department, Facilities & Space Mgt Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will develop requirements for facility modification, replacement, or construction. You will make recommendations based on analysis and findings in the facility allocation, use, modification, and acquisition processes. You will serve as a facilities project technical point of contact and provides ongoing, day-to-day facilities liaison support between NAVAIR/NAWCWD and the service providers. You will support the proper and timely execution of all NAWCWD facilities sustainment, restoration and modernization investments, specifically in the areas of facilities master planning and engineering design.

Requirements

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge in facilities repair and determining facility requirements for the customer needs; 2) Developing appropriate resolutions or establish initial repairs of service requests; 3) Identifying maintenance, repair work, new construction, alteration projects, replacement of existing equipment, or facilities services; 4) Working knowledge of building components, various types of project construction and project management; 5) Understanding of space management and space moves and relocation; 6) Developing facility and equipment requirements against customer needs and learn to develop project scopes. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
