You will serve as a SUPERVISORORY FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the Public Works Department (PWD) Production Division of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will be responsible for the management of the Facilities Management and Sustainment Branch (FM and S), within the Production Division, NAVFAC SW, China Lake.
You will implement facilities maintenance, repair, and construction projects that minimize life cycle costs, and/or implement corrective actions to eliminate safety, security, environmental or facility deficiencies.
You will implements all changes that impact the team's workload with respect to staffing, budgeting, planning, inspecting, equipment and material procurement.
You will be responsible for preventive maintenance and repair techniques associated with equipment installed within the facilities.
You will be responsible for preventive maintenance and repair techniques associated with infrastructure.
You will advise and consult with NAWS representatives to prioritize, coordinate and implement requested NAVFAC SW services for facilities
You will be responsible for assuring that assigned resources are efficiently and effectively utilized; work priorities are established, understood and implemented.
You will be responsible for the safety of all personnel assigned to the FM and S Branch; including responsibility for ensuring that all subordinates receive instruction and training that includes safety meetings, written and oral instructions.
You will resolve facility scheduling conflicts to verify work is completed in accordance with established priorities.
You will hear and resolve grievances, complaints, and problems of subordinate employees.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinating and partnering with customers to identify and prioritize all facility and utility requirements, including the development, planning, scheduling, acquisition, budget expenditures, execution and oversight of all real property sustainment, restoration and modernization (SRM) work and facilities services; 2) Receiving and developing work requirements from customers; 3) Authorizing the initiation of work projects, support acquisition planning, balance workload with available resources, and performance management/measurement of work order execution and schedules; and 4) Utilizing automated systems and authoritative databases to review facility information and manage facility maintenance and repair plans; and 5) Coordinating maintenance inspection programs and infrastructure condition assessment program(s).
