You will serve as a Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist in the Corporate Business & Analysis Group of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will support the Department Head and ensure that the organization provides the most beneficial facilities and safety products and services to support the Weapons Division's (WD) technical and program mission. You will develop and maintain Command awareness of facility policies. You will ensure department-wide adherence to NAWCWD's personnel policies and will champion the command's workforce diversity goals and initiatives. You will apply sound management principles, concepts, and methods in managing the organization's policies, and objectives in planning, analyzing, evaluating, and/or improving the effectiveness of Departmental programs. You will be responsible for enabling the career and professional development of subordinates, and ensure appropriate training and growth opportunities.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13/14) or pay band (NM-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Working across multi-disciplined teams, building relationships, and creating networks; (2) Performing work related to project management, engineering processes, operations, sustainment, restoration, and modernization of simple and complex facilities; (3) Determining, evaluating, and analyzing facility requirements for the customer and mission; (4) Utilizing knowledge of building components, various types of project construction and project management; and (5) Performing work related to space management, space moves, relocation, and develop move and space plans.
