Duties

The United States Space Force (USSF) is searching for an Enterprise Scheduling Lead, SNP-B (NH-1101-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent). Description: As Enterprise Scheduling and Sustainment Lead; your section is responsible for maintaining the OPIR operational baseline by coordinating, collaborating, reviewing and authorizing project integration with Sustainment and Operational customers. This requires fully understanding impacts to the existing operational baseline and effectively communicating the risk to 4 operational squadrons for integration of each project. The section approves changes to operational baselines, communicates perceived level of risk, concerns, and work-arounds to project owners as well as to mission users/owners (military organization) and internal, external stakeholders. This includes effectively communicating (across multiple classifications), setting expectations from the start to all stakeholders, coordinating assessments and meeting Risk Management Framework requirements. Additionally, this section also responds to anomalies and is the Operational User's direct interface to sustainment needs. Maintaining professionalism with the operational user is of utmost importance as well as he ability to support enabling capabilities to warfighters. The Space Sensing Product Support Delta manages sustainment activities for Spaced Based Infrared System (SBIRS) and other missile warning related mission areas. Ideal Candidate: Experience: -Analyzing system modification, tech refreshes and other changes to an operational baseline from a Program Management and Logistical perspective -Government Acquisition/Sustainment process understanding. Experience analyzing system vulnerabilities and assessing Risk -Thorough understanding of Systems Engineering processes, risk Management -Having working-level knowledge and experience with agile developmental systems like Confluence, JIRA, Platform 1; Network Management experience strongly desired Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Education: Degree in Engineering, logistics, information systems management, program management or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 28+ semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. (preferred) - Strong and effective communicator using multiple methods (in-person, phone, email) if one does not yield results; strong emphasis on inter-personal relationship-building with critical stakeholders and in-person communication whenever possible Training & Certificates: - Systems Engineering (preferred) - PMP (preferred) / PM Level 2 DoD or equivalent - Network Management (preferred), Strong Program Management and Systems Engineering experience with similar collegiate Bachelor or Master's Degree with exposure to systems and/or mission integration for large DoD weapon systems

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • PCS/Relocation funding is not available.
  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI Clearance
  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
  • May be required travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • This position is eligible for telework 2-4 days a pay period.
  • Position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications.
  • This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
