THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 INDEFINITE EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR, Position Description Number D1528000 and is part of the CO 140th MXS, National Guard.
Duties
The purpose of this position is to serve as the Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator for the 140th Maintenance Squadron, representing the unit's Production equities for all maintenance actions on the flightline, hangars and backshops. Duties include management of work operations performed by two or more distinct organizational units which may be controlled by a number of separate supervisors. Responsible for the squadron's holistic maintenance program, managing the overall pace, tempo, and battle rhythm of maintenance efforts, and enforces safe maintenance practices. Participates in establishing, monitoring and managing monthly and weekly maintenance plans through deconfliction and coordination across Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Production staff. Controls and coordinates maintenance activities on the flightline, hangars and backshops. May be required to coordinate with supervisors to select workers and assign tasks to be performed. Understands, executes, and coordinates specific disaster control duties including the provisions contained Air Force instructions, with regard to movement of aircraft, support equipment, and evacuation of flightline personnel. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Must be a current Dual Status Federal Technician in the Colorado Air National Guard.
- Must hold the grade of E-6 promotable or E-7.
- Compatible Military Assignment: 2AXXX AFSC.

Must have at least 36 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following:
1. Program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the business or industry position to be filled or in comparable work or functions.
2. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations.
3. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures.
4. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations.
Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets 6 months Specialized Experience.
