THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 INDEFINITE EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR, Position Description Number D1528000 and is part of the CO 140 AMXS, National Guard.

Duties

The purpose of this position is to serve as the Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator, with responsibility for the overall maintenance effort on the flightline to include work operations performed by two or more distinct organizational units and controlled by a number of separate supervisors.Responsible for the total squadron maintenance program, manages the overall direction of the maintenance effort, and enforces safe maintenance practices. Participates in establishing the monthly and weekly maintenance plans. Controls and coordinates maintenance activity on the flightline. May be required to coordinate with supervisors to select workers and assign tasks to be performed. Understands, executes, and coordinates specific disaster control duties including the provisions contained Air Force instructions, with regard to movement of aircraft, support equipment, and evacuation of flightline personnel. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
• Membership in the Colorado Air National Guard.
• Must hold the grade of E-6 promotable or E-7.
• Compatible Military Assignment: 2AX7X or 2WX7X AFSC.
• Submit all required documentation.
• Must be able to work a combination of different shifts to include: 5/8's, 4/10's or any other shift as required either in the Production element or in your respective shop.
• For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.

Military Grades: E-6 promotable or E-7 Compatible Military Assignments: 2AX7X or 2WX7X AFSC 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2. You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have at least 36 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following: 1. Program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the business or industry position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. 2. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. 3. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. 4. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations.

Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets 6 months Specialized Experience.
