You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FISCAL BRANCH of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
You will present and defend budget estimates before authorities, review and evaluate budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
You will advise on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This is a Financial Management Level XXXX certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Reviewing and evaluating budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures; advising on phases or systems of budget administration; implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets, and presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:
I have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
I have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
