About the Position: Serves as the Supply Management Specialist managing and administering a variety of logistical functions to include supply support operations, property and inventory management, acquisition, document control, fielding of new equipment and the informal property support.

Duties

Responsible for administering, planning and directing the Command Supply Discipline Program (CDSP) for DPW. Acts as unit subject matter expert during inspections and/or audits to ensure auditors/inspectors understand local accountability and handling procedures. Periodically reviews and processes updates to authorization documents (TDA, MTDA, letters of authorization) and identifies cross levels of excess property. Schedules and coordinates various types of inventories in accordance with Chapter 9, DA PAM 710-2-1. Prepares physical inventory procedures and coordinates with hand receipt holders when conducting required inventories. Manages DPW vehicle and equipment fleet. Works with TDA manager to ensure all Base Commercial Equipment, Army Equipment, GFE, and GSA vehicles are accounted for on the TDA. Performs primary cardholder functions for the Government Purchase Card program in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes identifying and resolving supply management issues; utilizing automated supply systems and property book operations to prepare property accountability documents and track equipment, property and supplies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
