About the Position: You will serve as the manager for the Defense Fuel Supply Point (DFSP) to include receiving, issuing, storing, and managing the budget for Petroleum Fuel.
Duties
Serves as the Accounting Officer and Bulk Fuel Manager for all installation wholesale bulk fuel.
Manages procurement, inventory, accounting, budgeting, maintenance and repair.
Assists the Director of Logistics (DOL) in the planning of Bulk Petroleum (POL) Management Programs and effectively resourcing available assets whereby programs may be executed both in short and long term objectives.
Provides authoritative advice, information, and guidance concerning all aspects of the bulk fuel and energy management programs, requiring extensive coordination with a wide variety of activities, organizations, services, and commands.
Serves as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) in accordance with AR 735-5, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Logistics Acquisition Directive (DLAD) 1.602-2, Subpart 90.602.
Requirements

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Valid Alaska Fuel Tank Storage Certification is required.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as: using an automated fuel management system to manage and account for bulk fuel; conducting physical inventories; and experience using the Government Fuel Key/Card and Energy Enterprise to purchase fuel in accordance with applicable regulations governing this type of purchase activity. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics, Supply Management, Financial Management, Operations Management, etc.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
