You will serve as a Management Services Specialist in the Executive Department, Regional Support Group, Groton, CT
Duties
You will make recommendations for, and participate in development of personnel assignment policy and provide support for services and programs for Regional Support Group (RSG) Groton.
You will serve as Command Pay and Personnel Administrator, providing information and submitting travel claims and travel advances in the Transition Online Processing System for incoming and transferring Sailors.
You will coordinate and track Limited Duty personnel assignments, internal assignments, transfers, and officer and enlisted administrative separations.
You will serve as the Command Humanitarian Assignments (HUMS) Coordinator, coordinating assignment/reassignment actions with BUPERS, appropriate detailers, civilian health care professionals and Naval Branch Health Clinic Groton.
Requirements

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience developing recommendations related to a variety of military personnel management services to ensure the efficient operation of the organization.
Experience with the Limited Duty Program, Abbreviated Medical Board Reports, Worldwide Assignment/Suitability Screenings, and Non-Medical Assessments for Medical Board determinations.
Experience using the Master Military Pay Account (MMPA) electronic program to ensure proper pay entitlements for Sailors arriving and leaving the command.
Experience assisting incoming and transferring Sailors with entitlements for travel claims and travel advances.
Experience with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) (PL 104-191) and proper handling of Protected Health Information.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:
Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be used to meet the total qualification requirements.
