You will serve as a PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT OFFICER (SUBMARINES) in the ???????REGIONAL SUPPORT GROUP GROTON, EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT of REGIONAL SUPPORT GROUP, GROTON.
Duties
You will be responsible to ensure the maximum material readiness of all submarines assigned to perform prompt, sustained combat operations at sea as dictated by national policy.
You will direct, assign, and monitor the accomplishment of emergent depot level industrial repairs and screen ship maintenance requests.
You will provide coordination and support in logistics, manpower labor and personnel readiness, medical, legal, and retention.
You will provide expert advice and assistance in executing daily routines of the command.
You will identify the need for changes in personnel skills, staffing levels, improved or new production processes or procedures, equipment or facilities, and initiate formal action recommendations.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Must have at least fifteen years of experience in analytical, planning, technical, and administrative work in the submarine maintenance field, of which three years is at the GS-13 or equivalent level.
Experience understanding nuclear submarine design, operation, and logistics support requirements, and maintenance policies and procedures;
Experience in all phases of nuclear and non-nuclear submarine repair and overhaul;
Experience of command, agency and DoD missions, functions, programs and history necessary to formulate, justify, and execute programs to support short and long-range goals and objectives;
Experience budgeting with Navy appropriations and all financial operations executed by Regional Support Group (RSG) and its subordinate commands;
Experience developing and executing of all financial resource requirements including, but not limited to POM and budget development and execution.
