Duties
As a/an Supervisory Grants Management Specialist, you will:
Oversee and manage a variety of assignments related to the administration of Technical Assistance funds and programs
Lead a staff of Specialists responsible for providing advice and guidance to providers, field offices, and grantees concerning the statutory, regulatory and policy requirements of the program.
Lead in the development and/or modification of regulations, notices, policy guidance materials, operating instructions, and procedures for grantees and field offices.
Review program performance and address areas of noncompliance, through a variety of means including technical assistance
Respond to information requests by oversight agencies such as the Government Accountability Office (GAO) or the Office of the Inspector General (OIG).
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, or equivalent, and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience in ALL of the following:
Leading, managing, or supervising a team tasked to oversee the technical functions and administrative duties of a program, project or organization; AND
Coordinating grant process at the federal, state, or local government or at a non-profit organization; AND
Preparing or evaluating written documentation that addresses policy or cross cutting program issues and recommending solutions; AND
Developing and disseminating grants management policies and procedures.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
