As a Audit Liaison at the GS-0301-12, you will be part of MSAC Internal Oversight and Compliance, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for serving as a liaison between OPM program offices and other oversight groups on audits, inspections, evaluations, and external studies of Government programs and operations.
Duties
Manage a portfolio of client audit engagements from notification that an audit is beginning through the closure of all recommendations.
Coordinate and facilitate meetings between agency managers and auditors to discuss audit objectives, status of audits, clarify recommendation closure requirements.
Reviews, edits, and provides feedback on draft and final report responses, provided by Program Offices.
Maintains current and accurate tracking information on assigned audit engagements in a tracking system.
Works with the Program Office staff to draft complex and high-level Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) in response to audit recommendations. Additionally, conducts audit follow-up and resolution activities to ensure timely and responsive corrective actions are completed.
Actively participate in revising audit coordination policies and procedures to respond to changing agency needs.
Qualifications
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level in the Federal Government (or equivalent) participating the audit resolution process and included all of the following:
1- Serving as liaison between offices, teams and oversight groups on audits, inspections and evaluations of Government programs.
2-Providing advice to on the development of corrective action plans.
3-Drafting correctinve action plans in response to aduit recommendations.
Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS12 level.
