About the Position: Serves as the New York District (NAN) Project Controls Officer (PCO) for project management, control, and coordination, of the District's Civil Works, Environmental, Interagency, International, Operations, Regulatory, and Military projects, and programs. The Subject Matter Expert with overall day-to-day responsibility for analyzing, developing, and managing the direction of the district's project controls program using P2 software and Project Delivery Business Processes.

Duties

Provide expert-level overall application of the project scheduling system, ensuring projects coordination and compliance. Work with Project Managers, Operations Managers, Program Analysts, and technical managers to ensure that all projects are identified and correctly entered in the project scheduling system. Responsible for the control, development, and coordination of assigned programs and their documentation requirements to ensure data/document management. Interpret policy and selects methods and procedures to execute the project program. Review historical financial data and analyzes trends to validate project funding estimates. Develop briefs to management on workload and workforce matters. Analyze the effectiveness of program operations in meeting established objectives on the distribution of work among positions and organizations.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
