This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner.
Duties
As a Program Analyst, you will:
Conduct analyses of regulatory and statutory proposals, initiatives, and multifamily housing program proposals submitted for review by outside parties, including use of analytical models to estimate program impacts, and evaluation of projects and initiatives based on sophisticated analytical processes.
Provide advice and assistance in the formulation and development of basic plans and policies for the Office of Multifamily Housing Programs; for the revision of program objectives and policies; and for evaluations of multifamily housing programs effectiveness.
Analyze program and policy options in the field of Multifamily in coordination with MF program offices; develops option papers for use in making policy decisions.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Conducting studies and trend analysis to identify causes of problems related to housing programs; AND
Providing reports, correspondence, and summaries of findings; AND
Advising and providing technical oversight to management.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
