Duties
Operates as the Senior Action Officer (AO) serving as a Protection Unit Integrator in the TPO-Protection, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence .
TPO-Protection has integration coordination authority across the Army in matters pertaining to identification of required capabilities and DOTMLPF integration for the Protection Warfighting Function, including the Maneuver Enhancement Brigade.
Analyzes, develops, reviews, manages, and executes training, classes, and courses for SRC 37 organizations including the Maneuver Enhancement Brigade Pre-Command Course.
Develops methods and plans to train MEB centric equities for the Army (Active Army, Army National Guard and Army Reserve) in support of TPO-Protection’s role as the Army’s Protection Force Modernization Proponent.
Maintains liaison with local and TRADOC doctrine agencies in support of MEB PCC training enterprises.
Authors and/or reviews SRC 37 and commodity area training publications to ensure that ideas are conveyed clearly in words, pictures, tables, graphs, and/or illustrations.
Collaborates with other Centers of Excellence, internal directorates, and training offices for policy, planning, scheduling, preparation, and verification for course facilitation.
Participates as an active member of DA/TRADOC/Joint service/multi-national work groups, seminars, committees, and conferences where aspects of MEB and MEB PCC are an issue.
Maintains records of documents processed by MSCoE and TRADOC doctrine and training personnel.
As the AO, consults with senior leaders, proponent Centers and Schools, SMEs, TPO-Protection, and other MSCoE personnel as appropriate to ensure the integration of appropriate training is indicative of emerging doctrine.
Requirements

- This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 30% of the time.
- Position is subject to regular unscheduled/unplanned overtime.

Specialized experience which includes: having worked in subject matter area of Protection and/or Military Police; writing and staffing technical publications; analyzing and identifying required capabilities and integrating Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel and Facilities into a warfighting function/program, understands COMPO 2 and 3 (National Guard and Army Reserves) training constraints (availability and funding) and possesses the skills and experience to ensure maximized COMPO 2 and 3 representations within the SRC 37 training and education enterprise. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
