About the Position: This Supervisory Budget Analyst is located at U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center, Command Staff S-8 (ACC) with duty location of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. (merit)

Duties

Formulate segments of a budget for a Major Range and Test Facility Base organization. Develop organizational input for the budget in areas such as the Program Objective Memorandum budget and the President’s Budget. Serve as a financial consultant to organizational leaders on issues such as budgeting strategies, use of financial management products, resource distribution and program priorities. Serve as a first level supervisor for civilian personnel engaged in performing work such as budget analysis and contract. Provide guidance to lower-graded analysts responsible for subcomponents of test center programs/budgets.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • Position requires incumbent possess Financial Management Certification Level 2 at time of appointment; or, be able to obtain and maintain certification within 24 months of entrance on duty.
  • Position requires incumbent occasionally travel away from the normal duty station for business purposes (up to 15% of the time).
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
