About the Position: Position is located in the Directorate of Plans Training Mobilization & Security, Training Division, Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Conduct training instruction on a variety of system and non-system Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) equipment utilizing various presentation material and methods. Advise, instruct, and assist customers with scenario development and configuration of simulators on a variety of collective and individual TADSS. Select appropriate briefings and conduct tours based on demographic background and knowledge of current training equipment and unit requirements. Conduct unit level maintenance of TADSS, diagnose problems, troubleshoot equipment, and take corrective actions as prescribed. Serve as the liaison to unit leaders, Master Gunners, and Training Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) on available services, processes, and procedures for TADSS utilization in support of unit training. Manage Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) for scheduling TADSS training. Maintain accountability of assigned equipment and assist primary hand receipt holder with disposal of obsolete TADSS as per Training Support Officer and Army Training Support Center instructions. Assist Training Support Center (TSC) warehouse with issue, turn-in, exchange and inventory of TADSS in support of unit exercises. Record unit and individual operator utilization and qualifications in Training Support Material Army Wide Tracking System (TS-MATS) and maintain certification of Instructor Operator training records.

  • Position will require the employee to have a physical due to the need to be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Education. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
