This position is located within the Office of the Convening Authority, Office Military Commissions (OMC). The Office of the Convening Authority is established in the Office of the Secretary of Defense under the authority, direction, and control of the Secretary of Defense. This position serves as an Information Technology Project Manager to the OMC, which is housed in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and in the Defense Legal Services Agency (DLSA), Department of Defense (DoD).
Duties
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:
Develops and analyzes information systems requirements.
Evaluates, monitors and/or ensures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures in delivering systems administration services.
Develops or implements information systems security plans and procedures.
Ensures appropriate product-related training and documentation are developed and made available to customers.
Implements project plans to meet objectives and develops, modifies, or provides input to project plans.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements:
You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates:
1) Identifying the customers' information systems requirements to provide the appropriate systems design tools, methods, and/or techniques;
2) Planning the operation and maintenance of hardware and software systems; And
3) Performing needs analyses to make recommendations to Information Technology programs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
