About the Position: This position is for an Operations Specialist with the US Army Space & Missile Defense Command, Operations Division located in Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado Springs, CO.

Duties

Serves as advisor/consultant o the G3 Chief of Operations Division on Command Group issues. Participates in planning for Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO). Conducts technical assessments on Army and joint space, cyber and missile defense requirements. Attends the weekly VTCs for both the G3 and Chief of Staffs call. Works closely with G-Staff primary and special staff sections, as Office of Primary Responsibility and as Office of Coordinating Responsibility. Serves as the G3 Operations Division special projects coordinator and policy administrator.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident
  • This position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.
