Provides guidance and technical direction necessary for accomplishing the work of the team. Ensures that all team members know their assignments and responsibilities and monitors to see work is completed accurately and on time.
Duties
Provides direction on long and short range polices and plans.
Supervision responsibilities of Community Care staff.
Maintains program and administrative reference materials, project files and relevant back-ground documents and make available policies, procedures, and written instructions from the supervisor.
Maintains current knowledge to answer questions from staff members on procedures, policies, directives, etc.
Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress and reviewing completed work to see that the supervisor's instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality have been met.
Understands of missions, goals, functions, organization, affiliations, policies, procedures, practices and administrative operations of the Healthcare System (to reply to correspondence and inquiries or to direct such contacts to the appropriate subordinate office or care line.)
Handles customer complaints and escalated issues.
Ensures that incoming requests for reports or information are processed immediately and those deadlines met.
Identifies, distribute and balance workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
Makes adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks.
Ensures that each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product.
Serves as a coach, facilitator and/or negotiator in coordinating employee initiatives and in consensus building activities among staff members.
Establishes productivity goals for performance standards.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday / 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 06/28/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Managers the administrative and technical mission, and the work processes of a large and complex medical facility.
Identifies existing and/or potential problem areas, and conducts recommend corrective action and preventative measures.
Knows budget formulation and execution in order to advise management on the financial implications of program requirements.
OR,
Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related (unofficial transcripts required).
OR,
Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized specialized experience as described above, and graduate education as described above which totals at least one year. [To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond one year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.]

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
Physical Requirements: The work is generally sedentary in nature, sometimes requiring light lifting. The work may require some travel for local or national meetings.
