About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Supervisory Program Analyst (CSA) at the Operations Directorate-Integrated Operations Division (J3X) in Miami, Florida.

Duties

Analyze Joint and Theater SA (Sensitive Activities) mission assignments to establish program objectives and develop plans for designated special program applications of operations by accomplishment of assigned functions. Direct resources to accomplish priority objectives established by leadership officials. Serve as the Compartmented Sensitive Operations Branch (CSOB) Chief within the Integrated Operations Division, J3X, Operations Directorate, J3, USSOUTHCOM. Determine manpower, time, and material costs for assigned functions to stay within the organization's budget. Assign work to be completed by personnel to meet organizational deadlines. Establish policy for the organization in the following areas: Irregular Warfare (IW), Network Development, Advanced Special Operations Techniques (ASOT), Operational Preparation of the Environment (OPE), and Personnel Recovery (PR). Develop plans regarding: Special Technical Operations (STO), Special Access Programs (SAP), Identity and Signatures Management (IDM), Defense Sensitive Support (DSS) project and security management, and Sensitive Special Operations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent of this position must be able to obtain and maintain a top-secret security clearance.
  • Incumbent of this position must complete a supervisory probationary period if not previously completed.
  • Must be able to work weekends and at night in response to contingencies and other requirements as directed.
  • Incumbent of this position is required to travel for duty (TDY) up to 25% of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid U.S. passport
  • Incumbent of this position must be able to pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter according to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.

Communicate with leadership officials to maintain situational awareness to develop strategies to accomplish Sensitive Activities (SA) missions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
