About the Position: This position is located within the Directorate of Administration, Utilization Management Department, Naval Medical Center, San Diego, California. Serve as a Supervisory Health System Specialist in a Medical Center, responsible for developing and managing health care focused programs.

Duties

Develop, plan, and initiate clinically focused programs and process for health care delivery and evaluates the effectiveness of such programs. Manage project implementation to meet organizational mission. Establish work assignments to meet mission requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
