Duties
Serve under the Assistant Director for Healthcare Operations (HCO).
Provide administrative management of health care delivery to eligible beneficiaries within the Market.
Develop and plans focused programs to provide cost effective alternatives for health care delivery.
Collaborates with SEL, CMO, Senior Nurse Executive (SNE), Managed Care Support Contractor (MCSC) and Chief of Optimization to identify problems with healthcare access and utilization in both the military and civilian sectors.
Plan and carry out assignments and special projects as assigned by Assistant Director for Healthcare Operations
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing various databases and healthcare systems to monitor the healthcare delivery processes within a medical treatment facility; providing administrative support in the area of budget, personnel, and/or resource management; and analyzing healthcare data to identify problems and/or provide recommendations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
