About the Position:This Human Resources Specialist is located at HQ-ATEC G1 (Human Resources Directorate) with duty location of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. (merit)
Duties
Serve as a Human Resources Specialist with responsibility for technical/operational aspects of Command human resource management plans.
Conduct projects in various program areas to provide advice to organizations on human resources.
Perform program development of integrated command human resources programs.
Originate solutions to human resources issues within the organization.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Position requires travel away from the normal duty station (up to 15% of the time).

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Interpret/provide guidance for an organization on civilian human resources principles, concepts and practices on topics such as: performance management, workplace flexibilities and staffing; 2) Research and develop strategies for civilian human resources problems associated with civilian personnel functions; AND 3) Develop and present training for assigned programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11/NH-02).
