Duties

Directs the staff in providing technical advice, guidance, and assistance to ensure needs are adequately identified and satisfied, and that resource management administration meets legal, regulatory, procedural, and policy requirements. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Serves as Chief, in the ACC-APG Enterprise Resources Division, G-1, Human Resource Directorate. Interprets and applies guidelines, regulations, policies, to the day-to-day organizational operations, and in providing expert advice to ACC-APG staff and other organizations in human resource management and organizational matters.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the NH-03 level in the Federal Service which includes work: (1) Providing expert technical advice on military and/or civilian human resources personnel policies and practices to senior leaders, managers, and staff; (2) Aligning human resources programs and policies to both the enterprise focus and governing regulations; (3) Administering a comprehensive, integrated human resources management program which includes: strategic workforce planning, training and development, and labor and employee relations; and (4) Conducting studies and assessments of military and/or civilian human resources policies and programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 (or GS-13 equivalent). **ALL CURRENT FEDERAL EMPLOYEES MUST ATTACH A CURRENT SF-50 FOR CONSIDERATION.
